50th Reunion News:

Dear Classmates,

A letter has been sent to each classmate formally announce and cordially invite them to the 50th Reunion of the Eichelberger High School Class of 1964, scheduled to be held in Hanover on June 5th, 6th, and 7th, 2014. (Who can believe that 50 years have passed since we walked the hallowed halls of EHS?) The reunion committee has been planning for months to make this a most memorable, nostalgic, weekend event, so mark your calendars now to SAVE THE DATES!

As you may know, the 50th Reunion Class joins the Class of 2014 at their graduation ceremony on Thursday, June 5th. We march in the processional with the graduating seniors, sit with them during the ceremony and present two scholarships from the Hanover Alumni Association. Traditionally, the 50th Reunion Class also holds a three-day event to accommodate the 2014 senior class celebration and our own reunion festivities.

The plans for the weekend may include a cocktail party in the Conservatory; tour opportunities, a picnic, a concert that you will not want to miss, and a dinner celebration planned for Bay City Restaurant on Saturday evening to culminate the weekend events. Watch for more definitive details of all the plans to follow in a letter that you can expect to arrive in February, 2014.

The Reunion Committee also decided to publish a booklet with biographies of our classmates. We ask that each classmate provide a short biography about what you have been doing over the last 50 years. We have your graduation picture and are asking you to include a current photo of yourself with your bio. We included a form in this mailing to submit your bio and photo to Paul Hentz, either by email at pbhentz@comcast.net; or postal mail at the following address: 357 Travis Lane, Lancaster, PA 17601.  You may also reach Paul by phone at 717.569.6605 (H) or 717.572.5208 (C) for any questions.

That is all for now, but watch for the second mailing in February, complete and send your bio to Paul and most importantly use the enclosed magnet to SAVE THE DATES!

Best regards,
The 1964 Reunion Committee of EHS

IN LASTING MEMORY

Sometimes in life you find a friend;
Someone who changes your life by being a part of it.
Someone who makes you believe that there really is good in the world.
Someone who convinces you that there is an unlocked door just waiting for you to open it.
This is forever friendship
